10 years

10 years ago today, actually as I type I was about to walk down the aisle.
I wasn't nervous at all. I was just SO excited and ready to get this done so we could start our life together. It has been a very, very full 10 years! We've had 4 babies, lived in 2 cities, moved 4 times, opened a business, built a house, and the list goes on. It's been full, but great. I hope the next ten are a little more relaxing!! Happy Anniversary Jas! Here's to many more.

like mother, like daughter

Emily had her first s'more this weekend and LOVED it.
Enough said.

ice cream wonder

I made these treats for Matthew's birthday to take to Ben's baseball team, and Matthew's soccer team, as they both had games that day. He walked in after I had just finished up and said, "Mom, is that ice cream?" I thought, "YES, I did it!" It's actually frosting on a cupcake baked in a cone, and decorated to look like soft serve. It worked! The kids at both games were fooled too. I heard "how are they not melting" more than once! A huge hit!

Happy Birthday Matthew

Make an on-line slide show at www.OneTrueMedia.com

7 years ago today, we welcomed Matthew into our family. We gave Ben quite possibly the best gift ever that day, a brother! They are best buds. Matthew was then, and continues to be, our very mellow, laid-back, easy-going, funny, tender-hearted little boy with sparkling blue eyes. Ben gave him the nickname "Peach" as a newborn (covered with fuzz) and it still sticks today. We love him so much. He is so much fun to be around and we can't imagine our family without him. Here's to celebrating 7 years of Matthew!
We love you peach.

it's official!

Emily is WALKING!! I can hardly believe it myself; she is now the earliest of all of them to be walking (at 10 months). She's very busy and into everything, making things a little more interesting around here!

a couple last shots

I realized today I never posted my final shots from my photo class; I've GRADUATED!! I learned a TON and have definitely sparked a new hobby. I have loved learning and am looking forward to continuing to improve.
Here are my final shots..... A "real" photo shoot with Ben!

Mother's Day

My Mother's Day this year was certainly a busy one.
We had a baseball tournament this weekend, so games on Sunday, at 10:15 and 12:15.... back to back, really. But I was greeted that morning by three kiddos each with a gift and homemade card. Apparently, they each got to shop for me and choose my gift themselves. Abby chose a Life is Good tshirt that has a tulip (my favorite flower) and says "Grow." Ben chose a Cubs shirt I said I liked at Scheels, and Matthew chose Cubs pajama pants that I also commented on at Scheels. Just when I thought they never pay attention to me!!!
After Ben's first game Sunday, each boy found his mom and gave her a flower. Very sweet. It's still in the vase and in the photo below, I'm also wearing my new shirt.....
Later in the day, Matthew had a soccer game, and Abby was supposed to have a game as well, but wasn't feeling well so didn't make it. We came home and ordered carry-out for dinner to cap off a terrific family day.
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms!
